Midsummer Solstice - Gothropology

Gothropology is the show that discusses ancient traditions, modern heretics, mortality, sexuality and regeneration- the guide to come and take you by the hand into unknown pleasures.

Sit down for some tea with Brit-El and Griffin at The Green Man shop in North Hollywood for a chat about summer solstice! A culmination of light and energy unlike any other of the High Days, the tides of this season pull at us all. Will you serve the crown or will the crown serve you, do you control your nature or does your nature control you? Griffin takes us on a journey through history and contemporary struggles of our relationship with the primal force of our nature. The implications of this in our modern world, and how it relates to the recent massacre in Orlando are also discussed. There is also a brief discussion on the occult and hauntings. Come and get lost with the fairies on this episode of Gothropology!

Brit-El Mabourakh is the host of Gothropology, an anthropology-centric podcast with a Goth twist. A journalism major, Brit-El intends to continue broadcasting long after graduation. She is a scorpio, a Druid, and leans most towards Victorian Goth. Her primary interests are spirituality, ancient traditions, human sexuality, mortality and natural medicine- using food as medicine, herbal remedies, aromatherapy etc. She also makes soap and excitedly reads Tolkien in her spare time.
